Mars is a place ... a place that humans can go and feel things, think things, and dream things. A place to solve problems. A place to do research. This book made that reality a truth for me for the first time.
Man, this is a great book. Botany, orbital mechanics, rocket propulsion, programmatics, international politics... The Martian has it all. I still remember exactly where I was when I listened to the last chapter of this book. If you're new to Audio books, start with this one.
